Back At Camp

Brightheart licked her kits when they both began to stir and whine.

Graypaw waited for his mentor.

Warstar jumped up on high rock and gazed into the forest whispering the prophecy. The Gathering was in Seven days.

Bearstep came back and dropped his kill in the pile. He picked up two voles and took them to Brightheart.

Flowerpelt's stomach growled.

Warstar growled softly.

Graypaw shook his pelt.

Bearstep dropped the kill at Brighthearts paws.

She nodded her thanks and hungrily ate both voles.

Graypaw took some fresh kill to Flowerpelt.

Flowerpelt nodded her thanks.

Warstar closed her eyes and went to Bearstep You and your apprentice, on a Border and Hunting patrol, i will take Graypaw on a hunting patrol she said

Bearstep nodded. Ok. He purred.

Warstar nodded Go on now, Graypaw only has two days left until he becomes a Warrior she said

Graypaw bounded over to his Mentor.

Flowerpelt smiled.

Bearstep nodded. Lets go. Ill show you some fighting moves tomorrow. Or later. Bearstep said heading for the border.

Graypaw nodded and bounded after him.

Bearstep came back and reported to Warstar. Nothing unusual today Warstar. Graypaw and an excellent apprentice and will make a great warrior. He said waiting for a reply.

Warstar nodded Ys, you have trained him well she said

Bearstep bowed his head to take the praise. I wouldnt have trained him well if you hadnt have let me menotr him. Bearstep purred.

Warstar nodded

Bearstep dipped his head in farewell and headed to check on his kits.

Warstar smiled.

Nightpelt walked into the camp and padded up to Warstar, seeing her swollen stomach and nuzzled her.

Warstar nuzzled him back today, it should be today she said exsitedly.

Nightpelt purred You should be in the nursery he said and led her there with the tip of his tail to the nursery.

Warstar nuzzled Nightpelt and lied down on a bed of moss.

Flowerpelt was in the nursery in a instant and sat by Warstar, her dear sister, ready for Warstar to yowl in pain.

Nightpelt walked up to Bearstep Would you mind going on a hunting patrol with me and Graypaw? I know you are tired but, the fresh kill pile is going bare he said.

Graypaw was pouncing on a piece of grass, looking more and more like a panther over the days.

Warstar was calm with Flowerpelt, her sister, by her side Will i be ok? she asked.

Flowerpelt smiled Yes, you will be fine she purred and nuzzled her sister.

Nightpelt looked at Bearstep.

Graypaw twitched his ears and pounced on a young, fat rabbit.

Bearstep nodded. Of course! The Clan before an individual, you know. He purred.

Flowerpelt gave Warstar some poppy seeds as Warstar yowled. she saw a jet black little kitten come out and try to find her mother's milk. Soon, Fighterkit and Bramblekit were suckling on Warstar.

Warstar smiled and quickly licked her new born kits.

Nightpelt nodded his thanks but then ran into the nursery to see his kits and Warstar, fine.

Graypaw quickly got up

Brightheart put her tail tip on Warstar's shoulder in a sign of congratulations.

Bearstep stuck his head into the nursery and smiled.

Warstar nuzzled Nightpelt and laughed as Bramblekit and Fighterkit started to claw at Nightpelt's fur.

Nightpelt noticed that Fighterkit had unusually long sharp claws and long sharp fangs Fighterkit he purred and Warstar nodded. Bramblekit ran into a bramble and whimpered. Warstar picked him up and put him beside her and Bramblekit she purred

Brightheart got up and padded out of the nursery with Jadekit and Smallkit.

Smallkit quickly pounced on Jadekit and pinned her. Who has who? She yowled swatting her sister's ear.

Jadekit mrrowed with laughter and pinned Smallkit who wailed under her sister's weight.

Brightheart jumped up and pulled each other off one another.

Fighterkit stalked her brother with her tail low, she pounced on her brother and pinned him to the ground Ha! she purred.

Bramblekit laughed and pushed his sister off.

Warstar smiled.

Nightpelt purred.

Bearstep walked over. Anything the matter? He asked.

Brightheart nodded. Playing too roughly. She meowed.

Warstar smiled and licked her kits.

Fighterkit smiled and tugged on her own fur.

Bramblekit flicked his tail

Jadekit and Smallkit began to tumble in the grass again.
